51st School Anniversary Thanksgiving Service and S1 Form Association Inauguration Ceremony
On May 3, 2024, True Light Girls’ College celebrated its 51st Anniversary with a joyous Thanksgiving Service. The school was honored to have Mr. Yu Kin Keung, J.P., the District Officer of the Yau Tsim Mong District, and the school managers join as guests of honor.
The highlight of the event was the inspiring address by Mr. Lee Chee Wah, one of the esteemed school managers. In his speech, Mr. Lee reminded the students of the school’s motto, emphasizing the importance of intellectual pursuit and social responsibility. Following Mr. Lee’s words, the ceremony proceeded with the prestigious Prize Presentation. Students were recognized for their outstanding achievements and valuable contributions to the school community.
The event also saw the 2023-2024 S1 Chen Hui Form Association Inauguration Ceremony. The Association aims to cultivate a spirit of solidarity and a sense of belonging among the new S1 students. The ceremony began with an encouraging speech from the school’s alumna, Ms. Jade Hui Ying Tang. The S1 students then took the stage, showcasing their diverse talents through captivating performances in music, drama, dance, English, and Putonghua solo verse speaking. The parents and guests were greatly impressed by the poise and confidence of the young performers.

For the following part of the Service, we were honoured to have invited Dr. Choi Yuk Lin, JP, Secretary for Education, to give a speech and officiate our True Light Mini Hall and Future Classroom. It was followed by the vote of thanks delivered by our Principal Mr. Tam Kim Hung. The Service ended with a wide variety of brilliant performances, such as the Orchestra, the Latin and Hungarian dance, the percussion and choir singing, which showcased our students’ musical and aesthetic talents.
