For over half a century, our College has been offering quality education based on Christian’s values. At True Light we work with every girl to discover their passion and develop their personal qualities. Apart from fostering students’ independent thinking skills and proactive learning attitudes, we also inspire our students to follow our motto – “Thou art the Light of the World” – to be the light of the world helping people in need with their outstanding capabilities and character.
True Light girls are nurtured to become top learners and tomorrow’s leaders. True Light Girls’ College is a vibrant learning community in which teachers, students and parents all work collaboratively towards the common goal of pursuing academic excellence and cultivating noble character. The well-rounded, progressive and outstanding education we provide ensures that our girls consistently achieve excellent results in all areas, giving them access to the renowned universities in Hong Kong and overseas.
True Light Girls’ College is built upon the fine traditions of True Light education for over 150 years since its establishment in Guangzhou in 1872. The legacy shapes our guiding principles but we seek to build on the past while looking to the future. At True Light, our dedicated team of teachers has never ceased to experiment with the latest teaching strategies. Beyond the classroom, we strive to provide an extensive range of life-wide learning experiences such as service learning, leadership development programmes, as well as study tours to promote an openness to fresh ideas and outward-looking mentality. Our community is diverse and our students have a wide range of talents. Yet, all the True Light students share the same trait – the desire to make a positive contribution to the wider community.
