Life-wide Learning (LWL) refers to student learning in real contexts and authentic settings to achieve targets that are more difficult to attain through classroom learning. It helps students achieve the aims of whole-person development and enables them to develop the lifelong learning capabilities that are needed in our ever-changing society.
Life-Wide Learning at True Light has been providing students with learning opportunities in real contexts and authentic settings to achieve learning objects which can be attained outside the classroom. It is an effective way to facilitate whole-person development and enables True Light girls to develop the life skills needed in our ever-changing society.

Life-wide Learning Day 2021-2022
The Life-wide Learning Day was held at Hong Kong Disneyland on 10th November 2021. Giving students a real-life setting outside the classroom, the Day offered numerous team experiments and adventures. Such invaluable learning process at Hong Kong Disneyland encouraged all students to cultivate True Light qualities, encompassing “Persevering”, “Respectful”, “Responsible”, “Positive”, “Self-disciplined” and “Thankful”. Throughout the Day, students were able to build a positive attitude in life and an effective bonding with their classmates and teachers. In tandem with enjoying a day of joyful learning outside the classroom, our students gained new learning perspectives which will foster their all-round development.

Life-wide Learning Day 2020-2021
The Life-wide Learning Day was organised for S6 students on 4th June 2021 and S1-S5 students on 18th May 2021. With a vibrant array of activities, such as visiting The Grand Aquarium, Panda Village and Eco Trail, the Day enriched our students’ knowledge of marine life, environmental conservation and eco-friendly lifestyle. It also helped our students engage in different activities as a team and get to know their classmates and teachers. While partaking in a day of effective and joyful learning outside the classroom, our students gained new learning perspectives which will certainly help them reach new knowledge horizons.
