20250107-08 – Girls Go Global
From October to February, course instructors of the “Raising Awareness of Global Issues” Programme Ms. Tu and Ms. Tang developed a five-session school-based programme aimed at enhancing the understanding of critical global issues among Secondary Two students. Through interactive lessons and discussions, students explored topics such as Hunger and Food Production, Environmental Degradation, and Frugal Technology. The programme aimed to inspire students to consider how their seemingly small actions can contribute to addressing these pressing challenges.
By the programme’s conclusion, students reported a heightened awareness of various global issues and expressed a strong desire to alter their daily habits to contribute to a better world. The final session was dedicated to group presentations, where students showcased their creativity and efforts to raise awareness about global environmental problems. Their works included limericks, short videos, and creative posters, all designed to engage and inform their peers about these critical topics.
This programme not only broadened students’ perspectives but also empowered them to believe that no action is too small to make a difference. We look forward to seeing how these young change makers continue to apply what they have learned to make a positive impact on the world.
