2026 Shanghai Exchange Tour

From 2^nd to 7^th July, students from Hong Kong’s four True Light schools participated in a six-day Shanghai exchange tour. The event was organised by the Hong Kong Shanghai Pudong Association and sponsored by the Shanghai Pudong New Area Overseas Friendship Association and other organisations.

The tour provided students with insight into Shanghai’s history and technological advancements. Key activities included visiting the 118th-floor observation deck of the Shanghai Tower, a night cruise along the Huangpu River, and visits to the Shanghai Museum, the Memorial Hall of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and the Soong Ching Ling Cultural Exhibition Centre. Students also toured Chuansha Ancient Town, Xinchang Ancient Town, an aircraft manufacturing facility, and a robotics exhibition hall, alongside attending lectures on the Analects of Confucius and AI applications.

A peer-exchange session with student volunteers from Chuansha High School facilitated mutual learning between the Hong Kong and Shanghai students. The tour concluded successfully, enhancing the participants’ understanding of national history, culture, and identity.
