Green Visit at ICC
On 21st May, 20 students went on a green visit to the International Commerce Centre (ICC). Being the tallest skyscraper in Hong Kong, it is inevitable for ICC to have energy consumption and wastes generation in its daily operation. In the visit, students had a glimpse of the Waste Separation Centre, which is one of the projects in the ICC waste management programme. Students learnt that more than 20 kinds of waste can be recycled there. They also came to know the energy saving strategy implemented by ICC in the lift control system and they were told that this method would not affect the daily routines of the tenants. In this visit, students had a chance to understand more about the tallest landmark in Hong Kong and learn more about the ways to protect the environment in their daily lives.
